Nathaniel Stoltz is a graduate student in the Department of Communication at the University of Maryland. He holds a B.S. in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication from James Madison University (2011) and an M.A. in Communication from Wake Forest University (2014). His research interests include persuasion and social influence, the diffusion of ideas, and the effects of media consumption choices on identification and perception behavior. Nathaniel spent two years as a lab instructor for Wake Forest's Introduction to Public Speaking courses and now serves as an instructor for UMD's Oral Communcation: Principles and Practices (COMM 107) courses. Nathaniel is also an extensively published minor league baseball analyst who currently writes weekly columns for FanGraphs.com, a Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA)-affiliated website.
