Professional Interests: 

Janna Soeder is a Ph.D. candidate and lecturer in the Department of Communication where she has been teaching undergraduate courses in public speaking and rhetoric since 2013. She earned her M.A.s in English and History in Germany (2011) and at Ball State University (2013). She is working towards her dissertation in rhetoric and political communication. Her research focuses on the rhetorical negotiation of modern Native American identities in the American public sphere.
