Samek co-authors essay

Ph.D. student Alyssa Samek is the co-author (with Colorado State University professor Karrin Vasby Anderson) of an essay that appears in the latest issue of Communication Quarterly. The essay, entitled "The Day the Campaign Died: The Wellstone Memorial, Civic Piety, and Political Propriety," examines the public memorial service for the late Senator Paul Wellstone, arguing that it is a site of contestation over standards of political propriety. Citation: Alyssa Samek & Karrin Vasby Anderson, "The Day the Campaign Died: The Wellstone Memorial, Civic Piety, and Political Propriety," Communication Quarterly 59 (2011): 155-178.
