Mark Fernando is the Chief Operating Officer at the National Communication Association (NCA), a scholarly association serving the Communication discipline (www.natcom.org). As Chief Operating Officer, Fernando manages the association’s governance practices, information technology infrastructure, and overall organizational efforts. Formerly, Fernando was the Senior Manager for Communications where he promoted NCA, by overseeing public and media relations, electronic communications, marketing, and publications.
Fernando has been an adjunct faculty member for over 10 years teaching Business and Professional Communication, Organizational Communication (undergraduate and graduate level), Interpersonal Communication, and Public Speaking.
Fernando holds a Master's degree from Georgetown University in Communication, Culture, and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and Political Science from Towson University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
